3/27/2008 | BACK FOR MORE JAM, SIX IN A ROW!!!!!!!
There are so many exciting announcements happening this week for the Summer 2008 Festival season! The first one to hit the city of Philadelphia this year is the annual Jam On the River Festival at Penns Landing. This will be the sixth consecutive year that the Biscuits headline this festival and the third in a row that we are playing both nights. This year, we switched to the Sunday night headliner for the main festival show, and we will be in FULL EFFECT on the Saturday night as we rock the ELECTRIC FACTORY for a late night show featuring our trademark brand of TRANCEFUSION, one that will shake the dance-floor so hard that they will feel it in Jersey!!! That comes on the tail end of the Flaming Lips bringing their amazing stage show and compositions to the river-front earlier that Saturday evening.
As if the Flaming Lips and a Biscuits late night show wasn't enough for one day, the festival will feature hip-hop infused electronica throw downs by RJD2 and BASSNECTAR! And that is only DAY ONE, FOLKS!
As the biscuits wind you down into Sunday morning, you better make sure to get some sleep, because the Sunday schedule doesn't give you much time to rest. The day show features some of the most amazing talent out there, from hometown heroes Lotus to everyone's favorite use to be electronica but is now into Americana star, Tommy Hamilton, who brings his American Babies project to the JAM. Check out these songs, Tommy is truly a genius and an inspiration as a song-writer and a producer (he produced the "single" on the biscuits new album and it is HOT HOT HOT!!!)... The Avett Brother's will most likely amaze you as well, as they are one of the hottest young up and coming bands in the country!!!
As if that weren't enough, LiveNation has gone way outside the box in booking DeadMau5 (pronounced DeadMouse) to play right before the biscuits. Deadmau5 is a Progressive House/Minimal Trance and Techno producer and DJ from Toronto, Canada known for tracks such as "Arguru" and "Not Exactly"; tracks which have been included on compilation albums such as In Search of Sunrise 6: Ibiza and MixMag's "Tech-Trance-Electro-Madness", mixed by Deadmau5 himself, and on Armin Van Buuren's A State of Trance radio show. Deadmau5 was called the most notable producer for 2007 by Tiësto and Armin Van Buuren in interviews regarding their ranking in DJ MAG's top DJs in the world. This is an act not to be missed. Check him out and we are sure you will be impressed!
Of course, then the Biscuits will pick up where they left off last year in one of the most monumental storms ever to grace one of our stages (maybe leave your phones at home this year?)... After destroying the river-front with one of the most epic Save the Robots ever, we had to stop in order to keep safe! Well we have not forgotten and we promise to bring the heat this year, but hopefully we will leave the wet at home!
When the Biscuits end, you can head over to the Fillmore at the TLA to catch one more late-night event as Conspirator and RJD2 keep the party going until the wee hours of the morning! This rager is going to cap off what is poised to be yet another amazing and memorable weekend at Jam on the River!
Get your tickets now at TICKETMASTER. We will see you there!

3/15/2008 | Camp Bisco Line-up! Brownie Blogs from Olympic Studios in London!
Later this week, MCP and The Disco Biscuits are going to announce the initial line-up for Camp Bisco 7 in July! Here is what Brownstein has to say about it:
"Hey guys, I am here in the studio in London putting the finishing touches on our tenth completed track for the new studio album! We are recording with Benji from Younger Brother today at Olympic Studios, where earlier we played a private show for the folks on Berko's tour. It was really fun. We played in a famous room where dozens of amazing albums have been made (and Eric Clapton is currently recording in!)...
So I got an email a few hours ago with the initial line-up for Camp. I know every year we say this is the best line-up ever, but this year takes the cake. Props to MeatCamp for going after some of the best talent out there. We have without a doubt, the biggest, best, most ridiculous line-up that we have ever pulled off.
Tonight we are finishing up a new song fittingly called "Vacation". It's been my first time in the UK and we are so thrilled at how successful the first few shows of the tour have been. The local fans have been brilliant and the crew from the states appears to be having as much fun as we are.
The Guinness in Glasgow was as smooth as a milkshake, living up to all my expectations (I don't normally drink, but how can you not have a few pints in Scotland?). We are looking forward to returning to the UK as soon as possible and continuing to spread this style of music across the pond. We're heading out to the Dam tomorrow and can't wait to meet those of you who are on the plane right now!
See you guys Monday... Keep in touch!
Marc"

The Nokia weekend is sure to be amazing! In addition to that, we have added a few shows in the south leading up to the last night of tour at JAZZ-FEST in New Orleans!
On Tuesday, April 22nd we stop in at the Jupiter in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. It is our first time back to Tuscaloosa in years. The following night we head down to New Orleans for a show at the historic McAlister Auditorium at Tulane University, on April 23rd. This Jazz-Fest pre-party is a fan appreciation show and tickets are priced to sell at $5 for students and $7 for the general public. Then on Friday night the Biscuits usher Jazz-Fest into full swing with a tour closing late night show at Tipitina's! This is the first time returning to New Orleans since the fans of the Disco Biscuits helped the band raise over $30,000 for Hurricane Katrina Victims. Much of that money was donated to the Tipitina's Foundation, who in turn used it to help find housing for displaced musicians.

2/6/2008 | April Southeast THREE HOUR TOUR -> on-sale TMRW at Biscotix!
MCP INC., aka Meatcamp Productions, a company run by the fans for the fans, has always had your perspective in mind when putting together runs of shows. And on that note, the Disco Biscuits and MCP are proud to bring to you the Spring 2008 southern run, "the Three Hour Tour".
Starting in Charleston, SC (thanks for all the email requests for a show, your emails worked), and ending in Asheville, NC, this five show run is between cities all within THREE HOURS of each other. This "easy as apple pie" southern tour was constructed with the die-hard traveling tour kid in mind.
On April 17, we stop in for a romp at the new Neighborhood Theatre (with a full main room dance floor with VIP tables, Bottle service, and a full liquor bar) in Charlotte, before heading down for a weekend two-night run at our old stomping grounds in Athens, Ga., the Georgia Theater. Then we head up to the headiest of heady towns for a 4/20 spectacular unlike any you have ever witnessed before. Join us as we light up the Orange Peel for one very special "holiday" show!
The night before our Three Hour Tour begins, on April 15th, we make a quick stop-over in Falls Church, VA, trying on the State Theater for size. After decimating the Boulder Theater in Colorado, the guys in Conspirator commented that the State Theater in VA. was pretty much the same room, and the wheels were set in motion to take the roof off of that venue as well!
Tickets for the run will be on-sale tomorrow, Feb. 7th, at BiscoTix, and on Saturday Feb. 9th at Ticketmaster.

This Thanksgiving Season, Conscious Alliance, a national 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to feeding America's hungry, will be hosting their 4th Annual Turkey n’ Trimmings holiday food deliveries November 16-20, 2007.
Last year, they distributed 1,000 holiday turkey boxes to people in need in South Dakota and Montana. Each box contained one 15 lb. frozen turkey, one 10 lb. bag of potatoes, eight pounds of assorted canned vegetables, and two boxes of stuffing. This year, it is their goal to distribute upwards of 4,000 holiday turkey boxes and expand our outreach to include multiple communities in: South Dakota, Montana, New Mexico and Louisiana.
A donation of $15 or more will provide one frozen turkey to a family in need this holiday season.
A donation of $30 or more will provide a complete holiday dinner box (including one frozen turkey and all the fixings) to a family in need this holiday season.
Through your donations, there is an incredible opportunity to help bring Thanksgiving back to Native America. Your support is helping Conscious Alliance reach their goal of collecting one million pounds of food and to actualize their vision of feeding 20,000 people this holiday season.
As many of you know, Marc helped create a non-profit organization called HeadCount devoted to registering voters at concerts and harnessing the potential influence of this community. HeadCount has come a long way since this idea was dreamed up in early 2004, and many friends and fans of the Biscuits have gotten involved (including people like Dave Matthews, Bob Weir, and Warren Haynes).
Today HeadCount launched a new version of its Web site ( www.headcount.org), designed by the same team that brings you www.discobuscuits.com. Please check it out, it includes a video documentary starring Marc and many famous names, a polling place finder, and a link to VOLUNTEER for HeadCount. Hundreds of Disco Biscuits fans already have and they will tell you it's an incredibly rewarding experience. HeadCount plans to register voters at up to 1,000 concerts next year, in cities all over America. Be a part of this movement. Go to www.headcount.org. And GO TO THE POLLS TODAY AND VOTE!

8/29/2007 | BISCUITS CONFIRM TWO SETS FOR ECHO PROJECT, ADD SHOWS TO FALL TOUR!!!!
The Disco Biscuits started working with Meatcamp Productions after a fun night of partying on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles. Then 22 year old dreamer, Jon Fordin, offered Brownie a stack of benjamins to come play in his living room. Half a decade later, Fordin and his business associates have grown their company, essentially started at five in the morning in a pimp hotel room, into one of the nations most succesful independent promoters. Fresh off their third hugely successful Camp Bisco, Meatcamp is stepping it up a notch, throwing the south's first eco-friendly and 100% carbon-neutral festival, THE ECHO PROJECT, right outside of Atlanta. Naturally, the Disco Biscuits will be there.
We have confirmed that we will be playing TWO SETS, on the late night of Friday, Oct. 12th! This performance will be a full on Disco Biscuits show, and we are excited to bring the heat down south right as it starts to cool down.
In other news, we have added several shows to the Fall tour. We will be lighting up the Cannery Ballroom in Nashville on Oct. 16th. On the 19th, we will be heading to our favorite mid-western college town to throw-down at the Canopy Club. On October 24th, we are extremely excited to be playing the magnificent Warner Theater in Washington, DC. We have had our eyes on this Theater since a close friend in the area suggested it to us a few years back, calling it "the best music venue in town!" Don't miss that show!
See you out on tour, folks.

6/30/2007 | TRACTORBEAM FROM CHAMELEON CLUB AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD!
We are very excited to release the performance of Tractorbeam from the Chameleon Club in Lancaster, PA on June 26, 2007. Tractorbeam was conceived as a different concert experience...something more akin to a DJ club set. Tractorbeam plays completely instrumental. The big highlight of the night was a mammoth rendition of Mr. Don. This wasn't any ordinary version of Mr. Don, but rather one that went back in time. On May 7, 1998, The Biscuits played the Chameleon Club for the first time. They debuted two cover songs that night: The Beatles' Norwegian Wood and Prince's 1999. Also that night they played a version of Mr. Don that many fans still consider a benchmark jam that defined a very creative time period for the band. Coming back 9 years later, these songs resurfaced as spontaneous jams in the extended intro of yet another epic Mr. Don. Also of note, Mindless Dribble has a phenomenally psychedelic intro, reminiscent of classic versions of the song. We are pleased to share this live experience with you and hope you enjoy it.
6/29/2007 | BISCUITS TO CLOSE POMPANO BEACH AMPHITHEATER SHOW!
Last night, after the show at Ntelos Wireless Pavilion in Portsmouth, VA, the highly anticipated Pompano Poker Showdown took place.
For those of you that might not know, Barber has been training religiously for this showdown with Ryan Stasik, a well known Poker shark. Barber brought his chips everywhere, and played against the masters for three months, and the training has paid off.
In a Poker match for the ages, Barber delivered the final blow with a 9 and a 4. And as such, the Biscuits will close the first leg of D.U.M.B. tour at the Pompano Beach Amphitheater on Sunday.

6/4/2007 | CAMP ARTIST ADDITIONS
We are thrilled to announce some exciting additions to this year’s line up.
Umphreys Mcgee will be returning to the Camp Bisco stage after taking a year off. In that year, they have refined, improved, and expanded their sound with some major festivals plays such as Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, 10k Lakes, and All Good. The ever-evolving sound of Umphrey’s McGee continues to surprise and elate us and they are guaranteed to rock and shock us at this summer’s final blow out. We are proud to bring one of Britain’s most unique and lively bands, The Bays. Based upon hundreds of requests from the fans, we brought you the band that is “reinventing dance music.” “Their manifesto of pure improvisation and raw creative synergy is causing major tremors at all levels of the music industry, challenging many of its most entrenched attitudes about bands and live performance.” – DJ Magazine. Adam Deitch will be returning after performing on all three stages last year. He seemed to be the talk of the campgrounds after making epic performances with the infamous John Medeski on the main stage, and rocking with his own band both inside and on the side stage. This year he will be bringing the “The Storyteller” himself, Slick Rick, to provide us with what promises to be one of the most memorable performances in Camp Bisco’s history. Adam will also be performing a set with his own band, The Adam Deitch Project. Also making a return visit this year will be the Benzos and Indobox. The decision to bring these bands back to Camp was easy after both bands provided hard-hitting energetic music which complimented the lineup perfectly. We are also proud to introduce one of our personal favorites, The Afromotive, a nine piece afro-oriented world beat band out of Asheville, NC. In addition, Philadelphia’s own, the Grimace Federation, will be making their debut performance at Camp Bisco along with Digital Frontier, Strut, and Caveman.
6/1/2007 | SEASIDE PARK ON THE EVE OF INDEPENDENCE
There will be a show on the July 3rd on the New Jersey shore. The show will take place at the Green Roon at the Sawmill in Seaside Park. The band figured heading out to the beach would be nice, but staying warm for tour would be even better. So we are doing both. Join us for our East Coast Fourth Of July Celebration. Tickets are limited at this venue. BiscoTix will be on-sale today (June 1st) at noon. They go on-sale to the general public on Sat., June 2nd.
See you there!
5/31/2007 | Independent Sold Out
The Independent show on 7/27 is officially sold out! We are completely stoked to end our tour in the Bay Area. Get your tickets for the Greek Theater show, and the Southern California shows while you have the chance.
Fresh off this last tour which featured six sold out shows in the North East, we con
